It was snow in Osaka on 1st Jan 2015. Even though it called “evergreen”, some trees change their leaves color to brown. To keep green color and protect from frost, we moved trees inside which are going to exhibition and are sensitive to the cold.
Then, the room turns to Bonsai museum! When the trees are inside, they look bigger and older. I can even smell the trees.
I work beside of those gorgeous trees in winter time, I sometimes look up, smell the trees to relax and watch the wiring to learn.
年明け早々、大阪では雪が降りました。
常緑種といえども冬場は葉が茶色く変色するものもありますので、展示会に出品する樹や寒さに弱い樹は屋内に入れておきます。
すると、、、屋内は盆栽美術館に早変わり。屋内で樹を見ると、より大きく、より古く感じられ、樹の匂いまで嗅ぐことができます。
ゴージャスな樹の間近で作業ができるので、作業の合間に樹を見上げてはうっとりし、樹の匂いを嗅いだり、針金かけを見たりと自分ながらに楽しみを見つけています。
Cherry blossoms started to bloom recently.
I miss spring.
