真柏は難しい Shinpaku is difficult.

真柏は枝が沢山あるので、針金を掛けるのは大変です。

簡単そうに見えても針金がクロスしないように考えながら

巻いていく作業は容易ではありません。

黒松に挑戦 Black Pine

<Before>黒松に挑戦です。枯れた部分はジン・シャリに利用します。

枝をジンに仕立て上げます。
Making Jins.

幹の樹皮を剥がします。

根切りや彫刻刀などを使って彫っていきます。
Carving using a carving knife.

石灰硫黄剤を塗ります。
Painting lime sulfur.

<After>完成。生き残った一枝がたくましさを表現しています。
A branch which is only a survivor express dynamism.

４作目：真柏（半懸崖） My forth work: Shinpaku (Hankengai )

４本目は真柏に挑戦です。
枯れた枝をジンに仕立て、半懸崖を作ります。
I’m going to try making a Shinpaku for my forth work.
I will make some Jin and shape for Hankengai.

作業前 <Before>

まず、樹皮を削ってジンを作ります。
To make some Jin, I’m carving a branch.

ジンに石灰硫黄合剤を塗ります。
Paint lime sulfur on Jin

幹は赤い樹皮が見えるまで紙やすりで削って「古さ」を演出します。
Polish the trunk with sandpaper until red bark come out so that you can show old.

針金を巻いていきます。真柏は枝数が多いので、針金がクロスしないように巻くのが大変です。
Wire branches. It’s hard to not cross wires because Shinpaku has got a lot of branches.

完成しました。空高く伸びるジンと綺麗に整えられた枝棚のコントラストが粋です。
<After>  It’s nice that Jin is high up in the air and fix up branches.

Point:
五葉松と比較すると真柏の葉は長いので、葉が下に垂れないように針金で支えるのがポイント。
上下に伸びる葉はカットしましょう。
真柏は折れにくいが裂けやすいので、針金を巻く位置には注意しましょう。
Compere to White Pine, Shinpaku has got longer leaves, so hold leaves with wires not to grow down.
Cut leaves unless leaves go up and down.
Shinpaku seldom break but also easily split off. You must pay attention when you wire.

水やり Watering

昨日、初めて水やりをしました。
水やりのポイントは

• 乾いている盆栽のみに水をやる。
• 水圧が強いと土がこぼれるので、緩めにしてふんわりとかける。
• 一定方向からだけではなく、360度からかける。
• 鉢の下から水が出てくるまでたっぷりやる。

「水やり３年」と云われる程、水やりは難しいです。
同じ樹種であっても、水を与えた後の土の乾き具合は各々違います。


I watered Bonsai yesterday for the first time.
Point of watering:

• Only for dried Bonsai
• Water softly in case solid spills out
• Don't water from only constant direction but from 360-degree
• Water plentifully until water comes out from the bottom of a pot

宝塚歌劇 Takarazuka

仕事帰りに宝塚歌劇を観賞しました。
花組公演の「愛と革命の詩ーアンドレア・シェニエー」は本当に素晴らしかったです。
私のお気に入りスターは舞月なぎささん。
スラッとシュッとしたイケメンであり、超美人です。
上演中に何度か目が合ったと思うのですが、私の気のせいでしょうか！？

I went to Takarazuka theater after work. My favorite star is Nagisa Maizuki.
Don't miss "Mr.Swing". I had fun.
